Foie Gras Pens
While many foie gras factory farms keep birds in isolation cages, others confine birds to filthy pens. Two or three times each day, the birds have metal pipes rammed down their throats in order to pump as much as 4 pounds of grain and fat per day into their stomachs while the birds desperately struggle to get away. |
