Are You the Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door? Prove It and Win a Trip to Hawaii!

Vegetarianism has become synonymous with sexy, and Hollywood has taken notice. Stars such as Casey Affleck, Joaquin Phoenix, Natalie Portman, and Alicia Silverstone all follow a vegetarian diet, which keeps their bodies looking hot and helps them sizzle on the big screen. Country crooner Carrie Underwood and Tonight Show musician Kevin Eubanks took top honors by being named the hottest of the hot in PETA's 2007 World's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities poll.

But it's time for the celebrities to step aside, because now we're looking for the sexiest vegetarian "boy and girl next door"—and this year, we're sending the winners to Hawaii!

If you send temperatures soaring wherever you go—with both sizzling looks and a heart of gold—enter our contest, and you might be selected as the hottest tofu-lovin' tamale around! Here's how it will work: A committee will narrow down the entrants to 10 male and 10 female finalists, which will be announced on PETA's Web sites on February 1, 2008, and people around the world will be able to vote for the hottest of the hot. The winners will then be announced in March.

Now on to the important part—the prizes! The male and female winners will each receive a fabulous trip for two to Maui, with roundtrip airfare and beautiful accommodations for seven nights, courtesy of Holiday Systems International, and will be announced on PETA's Web sites. In addition, each winner will receive a bundle of vegan goodies (including candy bars, cookies, and "jerky") and a stylish PETA shirt/tank top of his or her choice to wear on the gorgeous beaches of Hawaii.

Contest Guidelines

• Anyone from the United States or Canada is eligible.
• All entrants must be at least 21 years old. (If you are between 13 and 20, thank you for your interest, but please do not submit an entry. Instead, please visit peta2.com, where we'll be launching our annual Cutest Vegetarian Alive contest very soon!)
• Pictures must be tasteful, and the entrant must be either vegetarian or vegan.
• High-resolution photos are required. The image must be sharp (not blurry or fuzzy) and well lit, and only the entrant should be appear in the photograph.
• Entrants should not be celebrities. If you've won your hometown's beauty pageant or have appeared in your local firefighters' calendar, you still qualify. But if you regularly appear in People magazine, we respectfully ask that you step out of the spotlight for this contest.
• The entry round ends on January 15, 2008. The finalists will be notified by January 17 and featured on PETA's Web sites by February 1. Voting on the finalists ends February 29. Winners will be notified and announced by March 17.
• We will be giving away two trips for two to Hawaii, including roundtrip airfare and beautiful accommodations for seven nights (courtesy of Holiday Systems International), two bundles of vegan goodies, and two PETA shirts.
